InfraSolution is a centralised IT access and monitoring solution for data cetre cabinets or remotely located equipment cabinets across an Ethernet TCP/IP network. As information technology takes on an increased importance, the protection of data for Companies and Government becomes ever more critical. The InfraSolution SmartCard handle provides an intelligent secure physical layer card access or remotely IP released locking handle with centralised software for management, reporting or audit purposes.
To configure a wireless SmartCard setup, each cabinet requires the installation of 1 x WiFi InfraBox, 2 x SmartCard locking handles, 1 x Wireless Antenna and 2 x wired all in one front and rear door cables.
To Interconnect cabinets using the InfraSolution wireless network, the installation requires a Wi-Fi receiver.Each receiver is capable of supporting up to 100 cabinets or wirless antennas, situated throughout a 5000 square foot open area. (460 square meters).
To integrate the InfraSolution wireless network to the LAN simply requires the user to connect the Wi-Fi receiver to the network hub or switch.
InfraSolution can be used to manage far more than just IT Access Control. Using the Infra 2400 or Infra 4400 series InfraBox provides an additional 8 x RJ45 expansion ports. These ports can be configured to be used in conjunction with PDU, controllable fan units or environmental sensors.
The standard management software solution allows up to 200 cabinets to be connected. this is expandable to a maximum of 800 cabinets via software level enhancements.
The InfraSolution is designed with a cost effective level of redundancy, which means that if one InfraBox becomes defective, the management software will identify the box, but the rest of the system will remain available, without affecting access or reporting from any of the remaining installed InfraBoxes.
