Series e-light EL100S3 and EL100E3 are 8-Port Managed Industrial Ethernet Layer 2 Switches für Single Ring Topologies and fulfils the toughest industrial environmental requirements. A special concept allows the ultra fast re-configuration of 30ms of the network topology. This concept also eliminates failures caused by network links and/or switches. Management of the e-light EL100S3 switches is easy and is done by the user in the Windows based IP configuration tool. The tool is free and any of the Ethernet ports can be used for this purpose. Thus, no serial port is required for setting the configuration parameter on the e-light EL100S3 switch. This means that this switch can be mounted and installed prior to configuration.
