NOTE ON CABLE SELECTION - Two cables are required, the water sensor cable and a separate two wire cable. The water sensor connects to the 2-wire cable with a built-in connector, and the 2-wire cable connects to the sensor unit via screw terminal. (See diagram below).
Distributed Water Sensor Cable:
ENVIROMUX-LD water sensor cable is available in lengths from 1 to 1000 feet, to be selected for the application. e.g The amount of distributed sensor cable to cover the area to be monitored.
Two Wire Interface/ Extension Cable
The distributed water sensor cable can be located up to 100 feet away from the LD sensor unit via 2-wire cable.
The LD sensor unit can be located up to 1,000 feet away from the ENVIROMUX-Mini via CAT5/5e/6 cable.
If water or other conductive liquid contacts the water sensor cable, the ENVIROMUX-LD reports the detection to the ENVIROMUX-Mini. |
