The General Purpose Test Fixture (GPTF) was designed as a high integrity safety enclosure and relay test fixture, for HIGH-VOLTAGE applications where flexible manual relay test fixturing is required. The GPTF achieves a high level of performance at high voltages and low leakage currents. The test fixture is based on a fully-guarded, interlocked concept that uses individual PTFE (Teflon) device connection pillars each loaded with two spring probes and useful up to 10kV. A high level of safety is provided by an integral HV interlock switch and full device pin shorting when access is enabled. |
